  • HOCKEY COACH WANTED
  • Next year we would like to continue the hockey club and play more tournaments.  Unfortunately I will no longer be able to coach as I am leaving for the Netherlands.  So if you are free one afternoon a week, enjoy working with children and are willing to give up some precious time why not contact Jenny Black (01224) 346301.  The Council will provide training courses, equipment and some resources are available too.  It is not scary at all.  The players are wonderful and all admin will be done by Jenny.  You only have to coach.  Pauline de Koning.

We need your help!

June 11, 2008

As the end of term approaches and the P7’s prepare for their move up to Cults, we would like to make a short film to present to them, which they can look back on in years to come.  To help make this film, we need a few ‘props’.  We are in the early planning stages so at the moment we need 2 Sumo Wrestler suits, or fake male chests, a belly dancing costume and a large stuffed cuddly dog.  Not sure if you can guess from this what the theme of our film is, but all will become apparent.  If you have any of these items and you don’t mind lending them for a few days, please e-mail me at b.polson@culter.aberdeen.sch.uk

We will probably need more items as we progress so I will no doubt hassle you all at a later date.

Thanks for your help.

Yellow Woods Challenge

June 3, 2008

We are going Yellow to go Green

We are taking part in the Yellow Woods Challenge, the environmental competition run by Yellow Pages, working with the Woodland Trust and the local council.

From 12th May until 27th June, our challenge is to collect as many old front covers from Yellow Pages as possible.  It’s only the covers we need, the rest of the directory should be recycled via the council’s kerbside collection.

Schools that collect the highest number of old directory covers per pupil will be awarded a cash prize.  For every pound given to schools, Yellow Pages will give a matching pound to the Woodland Trust to help plant and care for new woodland across the UK.

Please ask your family, friends and work colleagues to help our school by donating their old directory  covers too.

Please help us with this challenge.  Thank you.
