All items must be in good condition.  There is a maximum of 3 items per pupil.

K’NEX Challenge

June 18, 2008

One of our pupils attended the 2008 City of Aberdeen Highland Games at the weekend.  Techfest were present and set maths and science activites to challenge drop-in visitors.  One of the challenges was a K’NEX Tower Challenge. He won by building the highest stable tower recorded on the day at 1.25metres!  Unfortunately we don’t have a picture of his tower, but here he is holding up a ’Head Teacher Award’.  He received a  prize of K’NEX from Techfest and his name is on the Techfest website  as a September winner.  An engineer in the making?

  • HOCKEY COACH WANTED
  • Next year we would like to continue the hockey club and play more tournaments.  Unfortunately I will no longer be able to coach as I am leaving for the Netherlands.  So if you are free one afternoon a week, enjoy working with children and are willing to give up some precious time why not contact Jenny Black (01224) 346301.  The Council will provide training courses, equipment and some resources are available too.  It is not scary at all.  The players are wonderful and all admin will be done by Jenny.  You only have to coach.  Pauline de Koning.
