New Class Blog

Miss Glass & Primary 3G have set up their blog today.  They will be letting you know what they get up to in class.

Please take a look at all our class blogs and leave a comment.  This lets the pupils know you are keen to read about them and encourages them to keep blogging!

Overheard in the playground

Miriam’s (P5W) thoughts on adults.

“Adults are so boring, all they talk about is pensions!”

And, this is a cracker.  Whilst monitoring in the playground today, another P5W pupil  (who shall remain nameless – but you know who you are) came up to me, looked at my head and said “Is that a tad of grey I see there?”

Kids.  Don’t you just love them!

Cycling Proficiency

We desperately need volunteers to run the cycling proficiency for Primary 7, this term.  One Primary 7 class has already completed the course, so it is important that the other class get the chance to also participate.  If anyone is interested in finding out more information, please contact Irene Watson on 733197 or pop into school to have a chat with her.

Health Week

Today is the start of an action packed Health Week.   All classes have been invited, on a particular day, to breakfast at school with their friends.  Today the P1 children enjoyed a breakfast of fruit smoothies, fresh fruit, cheese, yoghurts, toast, pancakes, cereal and fruit juices.  Yum!  We continue the week with visits from the School Police Liaison Officer, The Dental Health Nursery, Livewire Theatre Company Anti-bullying workshops, Road Safety and Fire Safety talks.

Hopefully we will have lots of photographs to show you, so take a look back later in the week.

IMPORTANT NOTICE

To help our school make huge savings in resources, information from the school office will be posted in a brand new School Office Blog site from 7th April.  If you do not have access to the internet, please let the school office know and they will ensure you receive a paper copy.  This will include all general letters and flyers which were sent home in the past.

This measure will also help the School Eco Council to work towards their next flag.

Thank you for your cooperation with this.
