Thank you to Culter Theatre Club who have given us a donation of £100.  This will be used towards the costs for the summer term show.

Also, sorry to everyone who has visited the blog in the last few days.  We have had access problems with hence no messages also ‘Google’ adverts, not posted by us, began to appear.  This has now been resolved but I have had to change the look of the site to get rid of them.  Apologies if you were confused by the posts.

School Closure Wednesday 20th August

General News, Uncategorized  Tagged No Comments »

Members of Unite, GMB and UNISON will be taking strike action on Wednesday 20th August, 2008.  Staff groups which may be involved include Janitors, Cleaners, Kitchen Staff, Pupil Support Assistants and Office Staff.

The particular circumstances relating to Culter School are that there will be no staff working in the office, kitchen or cleaning the school.  Most Pupil Support Staff will not be in school.

Consequently I regret to inform you that the school will be closed to all pupils tomorrow (Wednesday).

I am aware of the disruption and inconvenience this action will cause to families however it is not possible to operate safely with the number of support staff who will be in school on Wednesday and therefore I have no alternative but to close the school.

I look forward to welcoming the children back on Thursday at 9.00am as usual.

Britain’s Got Talent

General News  Tagged 5 Comments »

CONGRATULATIONS to the de Koning family, who were invited to audition for ‘Britain’s Got talent’ as ‘Family Affair’.  They were chosen out of 60,000 people and performed in front of 1500 on a big stage – WOW!.  They met Ant and Dec, who were really, really nice and they had a great day watching what went on backstage.  What a fantastic experience for them.  We are lucky enough to have a picture of them in front of the ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ sign.  What a great achievement for them getting that far.

WELL DONE!
