The Thomson Trot
On 17th September, Mrs Jenny Thomson, PE Specialist at Sunnybank School celebrated her 60th birthday and retirement. Many years ago, Jenny started the ‘Thomson Trot’ in her schools. Pupils from a young age were encouraged to run a short distance, increase it and improve their stamina.
In celebration of her birthday, retirement and contributions to PE in the city, some classes at schools in the city ran a ‘Thomson Trot”. Culter P7C and P7P ran a 6 minute ‘Thomson Trot’ around a set course in the playground.
