IMPORTANT NOTICE
General March 18th, 2008To help our school make huge savings in resources, information from the school office will be posted in a brand new School Office Blog site from 7th April. If you do not have access to the internet, please let the school office know and they will ensure you receive a paper copy. This will include all general letters and flyers which were sent home in the past.
This measure will also help the School Eco Council to work towards their next flag.

Great idea to post the newsletters on the blog!
May I suggest that you e-mail parents to alert us to when there’s something we really need to know about, like when the children are asked to take something to school, party days, non-uniform days? I’m sure I’m not the only one whose life is so frenetic that I won’t be able to check the blog every day. And it would be quick, free and really easy if you set us up as a group on your e-mail system and maybe even included a link to the blog page!
p.s. loved the school fair - how many Easter Eggs can one family eat?!

Just wanted to say what a good blog this is. Great to see ICT being used this way.
How about a wee link in your blogroll to the ICT team blog (http://www.abernet.org.uk/jist%20haiverin/) to help your readers keep up with Glow developments

In response to Sarah’s comment it’s probably possible to set an RSS feed from a “noticeboard” page which would alert subscribed readers only when something new was posted there.

Thank you Richard. Link has now been added. Also, will work on the RSS Feed when I return to school after the holidays. That sounds a great solution. Any other ideas for our Blog would be great. We would like to have as much information for our pupils and parents and anyone else out there as possible.
